If there is Mall of America in United States, Cevahir shopping mall in Europe; Mall of the Emirates, which is the current biggest shopping mall in the Middle East, and West Edmonton mall in Canada, Now Southeast Asia’s biggest mall is in Paradise Philippines, the “Mall of Asia”.
Located west of Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City, the Mall of Asia is aptly nicknamed as the "Bay City." It is built on 19.5 hectares of reclaimed land and has a gross floor area of 386,224 square meters. Mall of Asia in paradise Philippines has a lot to give for its shoppers. It consists of main mall, which include shopping and dining establishments. All the shops you could think of are here.
The Entertainment mall consists of a two-story complex facing the Manila Bay. Dine in the best bar restaurants in Manila with good music while enjoying the cool breeze and fascinating sunset of Manila bay. Every Friday and Saturday the mall also hosts a five-minute firework display that starts exactly at 7 pm.
One of the mall’s main attractions is the first ever IMAX theater in the country along with a Director's Club Theater for intimate screenings where one can enjoy watching movies with its 30 La-Z-Boy seats. It also houses a premiere cinema, and the CenterStage Cinema, which can be used for live musical concerts and theatrical performances. In addition to the mall's special theaters, it also has six regular two-tiered movie theaters.
Mall of Asia also has the first Philippine Olympic-sized ice skating rink, the biggest of its kind in South East Asia. Ice hockey and figure skating training programs are offered by the rinks operators. Parking area is not a problem because it has two six-story parking buildings conveniently designated in the North and South of the mall plus four big parking spaces around the bay city.
